Biography: 

Dr. Khurram Jehangir Khan received his medical degree in 1999. After his internship in General Surgery, he completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Tufts Medical Center, Boston, MA, where he served as Co-Chief Resident and awarded resident of the year award at the end of his residency. He went onto finish his fellowships in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Headache Medicine and Pain Medicine. He is board certified in PM&R, Hospice & Palliative Medicine, Brain Injury Medicine, Orofacial Pain, Headache Medicine and Pain Medicine.

Dr. Khan held a faculty position as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Palliative Medicine at UCSF, Fresno, CA and Clinical Instructor position at USC Headache Medicine, Dept of Neurology and Academic Associate at Tuft Medical Center.

He has also received various awards including one as an AAPM 2016 Fellows Scholarship award at American Academy of Pain Medicine meeting in Palm Springs, CA.

He also worked as an Associate Editor Basic Sciences for PC-FACS online resource for Palliative Care Physicians, Reviewer for “Rotator Cuff Tears” and “Cancer Pain” for Dynamed (www.dynamed.com), Peer Reviewer for Journal Articles with Dove Medical Press and Communications Representative for Therapeutic Ultrasound Community of Practice with American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.

Dr. Khan provide services which cover the full spectrum care of spine and non-spine painful conditions including Orofacial Pain and Headaches. He uses musculoskeletal diagnostic and non-operative treatment options including medical diagnosis and individualized treatment planning; fluoroscopically and ultrasound guided spine and extremity injections; and medication management, exercise, and lifestyle modification of painful conditions.

During his Interventional Pain fellowship at USC, he focused on a holistic approach to pain medicine, utilizing multiple modalities of treatment including physical therapy, spinal and joint injections, spinal cord stimulation, and many classes of medications to help his patients improve their quality of life.
